In this blog there are various people whos names have been changed to protect those being written about (and, to some extent, me).  To help you get your head around who is who, the following is a guide to these people and their relationship to me.

Miss T: My best friend.  We met while at university and got to know each other quickly.  It was my second year and her first.  She was also, I think, the main reason my relationship with Miss N fell apart.  Having finished university she has moved in with her boyfriend, Mr S, and is now taking a course in theatrical set design at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Mr S: Miss T’s boyfriend.  Also attended Lancaster university which is where he and Miss T met.  Having completed his first degree went on to do a masters in law at a universty at Newcastle.  He failed his first round of exams for this course and is currently waiting for his resit results.  He’s now lives with Miss T and is looking for work.

Miss D: My housemate.  We moved in together at the start of July.  She’s Polish.  We met at work and got to know each other socially by going out as part of a group of friends from work.  We get on very well and in the time we’ve known each other have very rarely fallen out seriously.  Miss D’s going out with Mr T.

Mr T: Miss D’s boyfriend.  Having taken a master in animation at Bournemouth university, Mr T is currently working as an illustrator for Rare near Birmingham under contract from Microsoft, but his contract is, apparently, always under threat.  Mr T and Miss D met through mutual friends and have been together for over a year.

Miss N: My ex-girlfriend.  We were together for around 5 years from the start of college.  We went to theatre school and college together, but then went to different universities.  We split up after a problematic period starting while we were at university and coming to a head a few months after I moved to Hampshire for work.  She works for HBoS and has just started a masters course at Lancaster University.

Mr P: A friend and work contact.  Going out with Miss C.  Mr P is a freelance web designer and developer who lives in London.  We met each other through work and was one of the group who used to go out together semi-regularly in the evenings.

Miss C: Another friend and work contact.  A real genuine French person, and now living and working in France.  Going out with Mr P.  I usually get my updates on Miss C through Miss D who keeps in contact with her much better than I do.  I usually only see her when she comes to visit Mr P.
